Fireworks in Reading!



Wrap up warm this bonfire night and experience some fantastic firework displays around Reading. See below to find out what’s happening near you – we can take you there!

Don’t forget – up to four people can travel for £6 on all routes within the Reading network during the evening (after 6pm) and weekends!

Earley St Peter’s Family Fireworks Night

This family friendly event offers a spectacular firework display and an array of sweets and toys for the kids as well as some alcoholic refreshments for parents – the perfect excuse to leave the car at home!

When: Friday 3 November, 6pm

Where: Sol Joel Park in Church Road, Earley

Get me there: You can hop on the purple 17, lion 4 or lion X4 to the Three Tuns. Then it’s a short 2 minute walk to the park!

University of Reading’s Fireworks Night

Free event for students and staff! Enjoy hot food, live music and a dazzling display of fireworks at the University’s main campus.

When: Friday 3 November, 5:30pm

Where: University of Reading’s Whitenights Campus

Get me there: Our regular claret 21 that picks up and drops off straight into the campus from the Town Centre. If you live off campus, take a look at your other regular bus routes here

Reading Fireworks Display

Enjoy fairground rides, face painting, hot food and a stocked bar while watching an amazing fireworks display! Fun all the family can enjoy.

When: Saturday 4 November, 7pm

Where: Reading Town Football Club, Scours Lane

Get me there: Hop on the sky blue 16 to Cold Store and it’s a short 4 minute walk to the venue. You can also get the purple 17 to Norcot Junction with a 6 minute walk to the display.

Reading Abbey RFC fireworks night

Go and watch a stunning display, provided by the award winning firm Sonning Fireworks, accompanied with a bonfire, BBQ and music! 

When: Saturday 4 November, 7:15pm

Where: Reading Abbey RFC

Get me there: Hop on the pink 25 to the Abbey Rugby Club and it’s a short 4 minute walk to the display.

Thameside Firework Fiesta Sunday

Enjoy an array of food vendors, an elaborate firework display and a procession of people carrying flame torches, led by a live band. 

When: Sunday 5 November, 5:30pm

Where: Cantley Field Park

Get me there: You can hop on the sky blue 16 from the Town Centre to Brading Way, with a 12 minute walk to the venue.
