Cheaper fares on F1 shuttle

Times and fare information for the the 2017/18 season

All the information you need to know to go to see the Royals in another exciting Championship campaign. After just missing out last season, hopes are high that promotion is within their grasp this time round.

No changes to buses or routes

Great news! To make it easier for you, we haven't made any change to our bus routes and timetable. Download our 2017/18 route map here (or click the image) if you're new to the area, new to football or are just curious!

Cheaper fares on the F1 shuttle

There is some fantastic news for fans using the F1 shuttle - we have reduced our fares! Working in partnership with Reading FC, we have agreed to set the return on the F1 to £2 for everyone! This compares to £4 return for adults and £2.50 for boost customers (18 & under) last season. You can still buy a single, but it is charged at the return price. Concessionary pass holders can get their return for just £1.

Fares - frozen once again on all other routes!

We are delighted to announce that we have frozen the fares on the rest of the other football buses for a 6th year running. Just like last year, specific sets of fares apply to the Reading Zone, Network Zone and F1 shuttle.

We also have a 'Park and Ride zone' with their own dedicated fares, meaning you can get an adult return for just £3.50 on the F2! Park and Rides routes are the only routes to have a 4 person football group ticket too at the great value of just £5.

The F20 from Newbury will now also only use the Network and Reading fares rather than its own graduated fare.

To see if your bus is within the Reading or Network zone please see our football route map by clicking here. For more fare information and a list of all the fares visit our football fares page.

Concessionary fares

Concessionary passes are only valid on our football buses within the Wokingham Borough Council boundary - so your travel is free to the stadium, but the return journey must be paid for. This is due to schemes in other authorities returning to the national standard for concessionary travel.

Passes are still valid for travel on normal service buses on the rest of our network and Reading FC are extending their subsidy with us so concessionary pass holders can travel on all football buses for £1 single fare (or £1 return on the F1 shuttle).

To gain any concessionary fare, you must show a valid concessionary pass when boarding otherwise you may be asked to pay the full fare.

Mereoak Sports park & ride

There is also a park and ride service at Mereoak available during matchdays. Check out the fares here - your parking is included in your bus fare!
